Run-Run, a young elephant trainer in old Siam, makes a living with his old elephant, Walking Mountain, pulling stumps out of fields. When Walking Mountain accidentally splashes a prince, the prince sends Run-Run a "gift" of a white elephant for which the boy must feed and care but which is sacred and may not work.
